The College of Dentistry at the University of Basra seeks to spread the culture of caring for the mouth and teeth by intensifying its field visits to schools and kindergartens.
The visiting team to Razan National Kindergarten in Basra Governorate, consisting of a group of college students and professors, stated that these visits will be intensified and in cooperation with the Student Activities Department at the university and the dissemination of this culture in society, especially children.
The students conveyed their ideas to the children by carrying illustrative pictures of the shape of the tooth, how to clean it with a brush, its correct use, refraining from eating a lot of sweets, and visiting the doctor when feeling a toothache.
These visits aim to encourage children to take care of their mouth and teeth and break the barrier of children’s fear of the dentist.
