The Internal Medicine Department of the College of Medicine at the University of Basra organized a scientific symposium on the latest developments in the science of internal medicine, with the participation of a group of faculty teachers and doctors specializing in internal pathology. The symposium, which was held under the title of the Sixth Scientific Day of Internal Medicine, aims to introduce the latest developments in internal pathology and to reflect the need for development by following the latest diagnostic and therapeutic methods. The symposium included scientific lectures on cancer diseases, diabetes, the effect of obesity on breathing, and the role of exercise in treating asthma patients. The symposium recommended the necessity to follow the latest scientific protocols in diagnosing and treating these diseases.
