Dr. Makiya Muhalhal Khalaf Al-Hajjaj, teaching in the Department of Ecology at the College of Science, participated in the scientific symposium entitled Pollution in Basra Governorate and its effects on the spread of allergic diseases and asthma, which was held in the College of Education for Human Sciences/Department of Geography.
Participation included giving a lecture on air pollutants and their environmental and health effects.
The lecture aimed to introduce the most important air pollutants in Basra Governorate and their environmental and health effects. The symposium came up with many recommendations to reduce the release of pollutants into the air and reduce their risks.
