The Marine Sciences Center at the University of Basra, in cooperation with the College of Science, held a training course on how to conduct biochemical analyzes in the laboratory. The lecture was given by Professor Dr. Asaad Muhammad Reda, Dr. Amani Abdel Reda, and Dr. Anwar Abdel Wahhab.
The course included how to conduct IMViC tests to diagnose Enterobacteriaceae bacteria, as well as catalase and oxidase tests.
The students conducted these tests in the laboratory and learned how to read the results of positive and negative tests to arrive at the correct diagnosis of bacteria.
