Sponsored by Assistant Professor Dr. Majid Asghar Muhammad Al-Nawab, Dean of the College of Nursing at the University of Basra
The College's Student Activities Unit organized an introduction and reception ceremony for the first-year students, which was attended by faculty members and a group of college students. The ceremony began with the reading of verses from the Holy Quran, then the national anthem, after which a pause was made to read Surat Al-Fatihah, out of mercy for the souls of the martyrs of Gaza. This was followed by a speech by the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Majid Asghar Muhammad Al-Nawab, in which he welcomed the new students from the first stage of this annual carnival, which is considered a notification. The beginning of a student’s professional life, which is a rare honor, a great responsibility, and exceptional privileges, should not be considered an easy, easy and taken-for-granted matter, and that society’s view of the nursing profession is one of respect, majesty and appreciation. The representatives also congratulated their kind efforts and the efforts of their generous families in bringing their children to these advanced and distinguished stages. After that, a number of students recited various poems and some scientific and cultural competitions. At the conclusion of the ceremony, the first-year students thanked the Dean of the College, represented by the Dean of the College, members of the College Council, and members of the faculty for their great interest in them and for the support, advice, and guidance provided to them, which will be an incentive and motivation for them in their next academic career.
