Under the patronage of the president of Basra University, Prof. Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, and under the supervision of the dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, assistant professor Dr. Ali Abdullah al-Kanani.
The Women Empowerment unit at the College, in cooperation with the Department of plastic arts, held the exhibition and bazaar of creative women, Shams Basra, in the Rowad corridor at the college.
The exhibition was opened by the dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, assistant professor Dr. Ali Abdullah al-Kanani, accompanied by the head of the plastic arts department, teacher Dr. Raed Hassan Shree, and Ms. Khadija Shoukry, the head of the women's Empowerment unit at the College, in the presence of a large number of teachers and students.
The exhibition and the bazaar included a number of creative paintings and various materials and some of the handmade and artisanal works of art by the students and professors participating in the exhibition .
