The Al-Zahra College of Medicine, sponsored by the Continuing Education Unit, held a symposium on scientific promotions, where Professor Dr. Hazem Talib Thuwaini, Chairman of the Scientific Promotions Committee at the Al-Zahra College of Medicine, gave a lecture entitled “A Quick Tour of the Scientific Promotions Law.” The symposium aimed to introduce the Scientific Promotions Law and shed light on the mechanism for promoting promotion treatment. The symposium was attended by the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Mazen Hawaz Abdul Redha, and a number of esteemed professors from inside and outside the College. The respected Professor, Dr. Hazem, also stressed the necessity of publishing in reputable journals according to the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, provided that they are within the precise specialty to obtain the rank of professor.
