Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Education for Human Sciences at the University of Basra, Professor Dr. Nidaa Muhammad Baqir, the final match of the five-a-side football championship took place today, Tuesday, December 26, between the teams of the Geography Department and the English Language Department for evening study, on the college field.
The Geography Department team was able to achieve victory with a score of (6-5), after an enthusiastic match in which the two teams performed at a distinguished level that enthused the spectators, including students and members of the college.
At the conclusion of the tournament, medals and the championship cup were presented to the players of both teams and the supervisor of student activities, Professor Dr. Najm Abbas Aydam, by the dean of the college and the heads of departments participating in the tournament.
It is noteworthy that the tournament took place in a way that the loser was eliminated, in which all college departments participated in the morning and evening studies.
