The Dean of the College of Dentistry, Assistant Professor Dr. Fateh Abdul-Sahib Al-Khaqani, attended a distinguished theatrical performance at the College of Education for Humanities at the University of Basra, entitled Yuri Kakarin, on the anniversary of the founding of the Iraqi Army and the Iraqi Police, presented by a group of students and attended by a number of security leaders and members of the University Council.
The play embodied the heroism of the Iraqi army and the stages that the Iraqi people went through, which were filled with wars and destruction. It tells the story of an Iraqi young man who became a victim of his father’s ambitions, who wishes for Iraq to be a copy of the Soviet Union and for his son to become like the astronaut Yuri Kakarin until it became a complex in himself that worsened over the years to find... He is in the vortex of successive wars and lives in a complex of dreams and reality.
