A lecturer at the College of Education for Human Sciences - University of Basra, Professor Dr. Jaafar Abdel-Daim Al-Mansour, professor of contemporary Iraqi history, participated in a television program on Al-Hurra satellite channel.
The meeting included talk about the importance of the site of the presidential palaces of the city of Basra as a cultural and touristic facility visited by visitors from inside and outside Basra, and that it contains museums of natural history and the history of Basra and ancient Iraq, which contains a library containing approximately five thousand books of anecdotes in the history of ancient Iraq in English, German and French. And Russian, as well as a large amount of ancient images and statues.
Al-Mansour stated that Basra University is seeking to open a branch to study ancient history and benefit from this library and the contents of the Ancient History Museum.
