A scientific study was conducted at the Marine Science Center at the University of Basra, which was prepared by Dr. Majid Abdel Aziz Banai in the Department of Marine Vertebrates in cooperation with the head of the Parasitic Diseases Laboratory at the College of Veterinary Medicine, Shaanxi Agricultural University, Ming Xing, the Director of Research at Hebei University, China, and others from Pakistan.
Through research, a new scientific discovery of the complete mitochondrial genome (Mt) of a type of spiny parasite parasitic in Arabian Gulf fish was made. The complete genome was characterized, annotated and decoded for the first time. In addition, genetic analysis was performed based on protein coding amino acids.
The research was published in the Dutch journal Infection, Genetics and Evolution, which is part of the Scopus Q1 index and Clarvit.
