Basrah - College of Pharmacy Media:
Faculty members from the College of Pharmacy at the University of Basrah: Dr. Khawla Salman, Dr. Qutaiba Abdul Kareem, Dr. Maitham Ali, and Dr. Hussein Nasser, published a research paper titled "Development of Analytical Methods for the Estimation of the Pharmaceutical Preparation Metoclopramide Hydrochloride and its Comparison with the Standard Substance" in the Indian International Journal of Research in Pharmaceutical Sciences. The journal has an impact factor of (0.08) and is indexed in Scopus and Thomson Reuters.
The research included finding three new spectrophotometric methods at different wavelengths for each method. Effective colorimetric reagents capable of reacting with the metoclopramide compound are used to form new colored structural complexes with absorbance values within the ultraviolet region.
The research aimed to develop three spectrophotometric methods for estimating the pharmaceutical preparation metoclopramide in pharmaceutical formulations.
