The College of Engineering team at the University of Basra qualified for the quarter-finals in the University President’s Cup for five-a-side football. The qualification came after defeating the team from the College of Education for Human Sciences on penalty kicks, where the result of the match ended in a positive draw 1-1, reaching the penalty kicks achieved by the College of Engineering team. The victory qualifies for the quarter-finals to face the second-place team from the group of Bab Al-Zubair colleges teams.
