The respected Assistant Professor, Dr. Abeer Laila Muhammad, and the respected teacher, Dr. Zainab Khaled Khalil, participated in attending a workshop on program accreditation, which was held at the College of Medicine, University of Baghdad, in cooperation with the National Council for Accreditation of Medical Colleges.
The workshop included an overview of accreditation councils and the mechanisms and procedures followed regarding the policy of preparing and selecting a team of evaluators and the evaluation mechanism in program accreditation councils in universities.
The workshop aimed to build the capabilities of members of accreditation boards and members of quality assurance boards and explain in detail the results of the accreditation process and how to evaluate against standards and standards. It concluded after opening the discussion with recommendations on the necessity of developing a policy and work mechanism for programmatic accreditation of medical colleges to achieve quality.
