The Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Basra, Professor Dr. Haider Awfi Ahmed, honored the international champion and student in the college in the fourth stage, Ibrahim Jaber, after he won first place in the Super Kickboxing Championship.
Where he won the gold medal in a row in the Iraqi Super K-1 Championship in Basra Governorate at the hands of the national team coach, Ahmed Karim, and his assistant, Ali Mijbil, thus ensuring his participation at the beginning of next February in the international tournament that will be held in India.
It is worth noting that the college embraces a large group of students’ energies and talents in various sports and games, with local and international achievements and titles.
In turn, the dean noted, “We are proud of what our beloved students offer and the capabilities they possess that qualify them to participate in important sports competitions. In turn, we support and support the athletes and provide them with all facilities in order to achieve advanced titles that raise the name of the University of Basra and Iraqi sports in international forums.”
