The College of Marine Sciences at the University of Basra, accompanied by Dr. Osama Qasim Khalifa, visited the General Company for Maritime Transport
The visit included a detailed explanation about the college’s objectives and the scientific and academic feasibility of teaching subjects that are directly related to the specialty of the General Company for Maritime Transport.
On the other hand, the Assistant Director General for Administrative Affairs, the respected Professor Firas, welcomed the staff of the College of Marine Sciences
He stressed that the public company shows its readiness for scientific cooperation as well as benefiting from the outputs of the College of Marine Sciences.
The two parties agreed on some proposals that both sides could benefit from in the future, as well as cooperation in creating job opportunities for graduates by teaching courses that fall within the company’s work, as an investment in young energies and in service of the scientific career.
The staff accompanying the College of Marine Sciences included Dr. Shaker Ghaleb, Director of the Marine Sciences Center, Dr. Nawras Abdel-Ghani, Dr. Wissam Razzaq, Dr. Falah Marouf, Professor Alaa Jumah, and Mr. Adel Al-Sakini.
