The University of Basra organizes a symposium entitled (Cognitive Illusion)
The College of Administration and Economics/Qurna at the University of Basra organized a symposium on the concept of cognitive illusion and its impact on individuals and societies.
The symposium aimed to define this concept and review its negative effects, while presenting several practical examples in various fields such as social affairs, economics, and administration.
The symposium, which was lectured by (Mr. Dr. Zahid Qasim Badan), (Mr. Ammar Imad Khalaf), and (Mr. M. Bilal Nouri Khairallah) on Thursday, February 15, 2024, included ways through which the cognitive illusion can be overcome, Such as critically analyzing information, seeking multiple points of view, and listening to the opinions of others with understanding and respect
The symposium recommended the necessity of educating individuals (particularly university youth) about the importance of critical thinking and recognizing facts correctly to achieve a deeper understanding and better results in various aspects of life.
