The University of Basra, in the Department of Internal Department Affairs, held a symposium for its students and supervisors about the danger of drugs, their psychological and health effects, and ways to prevent them and reduce their spread in society. Mrs. Iman Qasim, head of the Social Research Division, also spoke about the importance of holding such symposiums because of their positive value for raising community awareness.
