In an annual tradition, graduates of Dentistry College at Basra University recite the oath under the dome of Imam Hussein and his brother Abu Fadhl Al-Abbas (peace be upon them), to pledge to God (Glory be to Him) and the Prophet Muhammad and his family (may the best prayers and peace be upon them), to serve the nation and commit to it with the scientific message they carry.
More than 50 students from the Dentistry College at Basra University participated in the celebration inside the Husseini and Abbasi courtyards on the occasion of their graduation. During the ceremony, several speeches were delivered by college professors and supervisors to correct the course and confront the challenges of the dangerous stage and deviant ideas and cultures.
One of the professors explained: “Our attendance to this place is to repeat the oath and loyalty to God (Glory be to Him) and the Prophet Muhammad and his family (may the best prayers and peace be upon them). For the third year in a row, we stand united with our students in this pure place to repeat the oath before the master of the martyrs, Abu Abdullah Al-Hussein and his brother Abu Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon them), and we pledge to them to continue the scientific journey, in the service of our dear homeland and people.”
For their part, the graduate students of the Dentistry College said: “Today we are very pleased with this graduation ceremony after completing our academic career. We have been crowned with great success, God willing, while we are in front of the shrines of Imam Hussein and his brother Abbas (peace be upon them).”
