
The postgraduate/doctoral student, Rafida Majeed Abdul Hussein, a lecturer at the Dentistry College at Basra University, received an excellent grade for her thesis titled (Evaluating the impact of gastric sleeve operations on patients in the future).
The study aims to know what are the complications and failures in liver function after gastric bypass operations during varying periods of time, as liver function tests are a group of blood tests that provide information about the condition of the patient’s liver.
The thesis entitled (Evaluating the effect of gastric bypass operations on liver functions and some digestive system hormones) included an explanation of some types of sleeve operations and a definition of liver functions and enzymes to be studied.
