Dr. Amal Salih Al-'Aboodi, the instructor of the Geography Department at the College of Arts of the University of Basrah, published a book in Al-Wadhah Publishing House in Oman entitled " epidemics: the historical dimension and geographical variations".
The book consists of 150 pages within four chapters: the first chapter is a conceptual perspective, the second is a geo-historical description of the disease, its environmental ways and curing methods; the third is the old pandemics, their spread and spatial paths. In the fourth chapter, the modern and concomitant epidemics.
The book aims to examine the epidemics affecting the world from a geo-historical perspective. These were displayed in a spatial trip context aimed at documenting its historical paths and specifying its geographical spread and the influential factors.
