


The University of Basra organizes a workshop on work requirements in oil and foreign companies
The College of Administration and Economics/Al-Qurna at the University of Basra organized a workshop on work requirements in oil and foreign companies in Iraq in general and in Basra Governorate specifically, with the follow-up of the coordination committee with public and private sector companies.
The workshop aimed to introduce college students to the most important components and skills they must possess in order to increase their opportunities to work in oil and foreign companies.
The workshop, which was lectured by Mr. Diaa Hassoun Hashem/Chief Engineer on Sunday, 3/3/2024, included a presentation and clarification of the most important skills and abilities that are focused on when applying to work in oil and foreign companies, with the aim of expanding the scope of the labor market for students about to graduate. Then increase their chances of obtaining useful job opportunities
The workshop recommended to the students several important points, including the necessity of understanding the oil and gas industry fundamentally, focusing on continuous learning and developing skills such as the skill of working on a calculator and the level of proficiency in the English language, the importance of focusing on safety and environmental factors, preparing for technical and technological challenges, preparing for international work and dealing with... Multiple cultures, and the importance of building social networks and relationships
