The College of Education for Pure Sciences, Department of Life Sciences, discussed a master’s thesis on the isolation and diagnosis of pathogens associated with ear infections in the city of Basrah.
The thesis submitted by the researcher (Rabab Saleh Jabr) included:
Chlamydia bacteria play a major role in causing ear infections, as C. pneumoniae represents
The second cause is chronic ear infections
The disease can be contracted by C. pneumoniae bacteria, which causes upper respiratory tract infection
The infection spreads to the middle ear through the curtain canal.
Inaccurate diagnosis of the aetiology increases the aggravation of ear infections and turns into severe infections
