The College of Dentistry at Basra University held a workshop on suturing wounds inside the mouth and the followed basic principles in the suturing process, for a period of three days.The workshop included practical lessons delivered by the assistant professor, Sondos Abdel-Wadud Neame, to teach fourth-year students all the techniques used in sewing and the affecting factors in the use of one technique over another. Dr. Dalia Munther Naeem, gave theoretical lectures introducing all types of threads suitable for use by the human body in terms of the materials they are manufactured from.
At the end of the workshop, the participating students were trained on silicone models by the specialist doctor.
