The dean, professors and students of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Basra participated in the initiative of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research concerned with agriculture and sustaining green spaces.
The Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Haider Awfi Ahmed, the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, Professor Dr. Hassan Farhan Alwan, the Head of the Student Affairs and Registration Department at the University Presidency, Professor Dr. Shukri Shaker, and a number of professors and second-year students participated in planting a group of seedlings around the college’s main stadium.
The Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Haider Awfi Ahmed, also stressed the importance of caring for trees and seedlings and maintaining them, in addition to enhancing green spaces to reduce desertification and dust.
