On Tuesday, April 16, 2024, the College’s Continuing Education Unit organized a scientific lecture on breast self-examination, which is part of the requirements for the health assessment subject, which was attended by Assistant Lecturer Zahraa Abbas Abdel Nabi and Assistant Lecturer Zainab Salman.
The assistant teacher, Khadija Muhammad, is a member of the college’s teaching staff.
The lecture included the most basic methods for examining the breast and taking medical histories from women. The students were introduced to early detection of diseases that affect the breast and explained the most important symptoms and signs associated with the disease, and how to diagnose, treat and prevent, in addition to training the students on the method of self-examination of the breast using simulated dolls in the laboratories of the Fundamentals of Nursing Branch.
The lecture aimed to discover any early disease symptoms and confirm possible diseases, which helps begin early treatment and increase the chances of complete recovery, avoid any serious complications, and identify any problems or risk factors that the patient suffers from that may cause diseases in the future.
