The College of Education for Human Sciences at the University of Basra commemorated the founding of the university by holding many different events and activities.
The celebration, which was attended by the First Deputy Governor of Basra, Mr. Zaid Al-Amarah, and the member of the Six Governorate Council, Iman Al-Maliki, included the establishment of many charitable markets, an exhibition of books, scientific products, and recent publications in various specializations, an exhibition of free drawing and photographs, as well as cultural and entertainment competitions.
The Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Nidaa Muhammad Baqir, said that this celebration came on the occasion of the sixtieth anniversary of the founding of the University of Basra, with the participation of all college departments, during which many scientific activities and charitable markets were held, in which various goods and popular foods were presented, the proceeds of which were allocated to needy students, in addition to exhibitions of free drawing and photographs. .
The Dean of the College added that the celebrations will continue for three days, during which scientific posters of summaries of research projects for postgraduate students will be displayed, and an exhibition of the products of college professors, and will conclude next Monday with the central ceremony that will be held in the college theater, taking into account that these activities do not affect the continuation of the educational process in the college
