The College of Nursing at the University of Basra held its third international scientific conference for nursing and medical sciences

With international and local participation from the countries of Bahrain, Syria, Algeria, Egypt, Iran, as well as Kurdistan, as well as the participation of the rest of the governorates with more than 100 scientific research. The conference included the reading of a verse from the Holy Quran, followed by the playing of the national anthem, followed by the opening speech of the conference, which was presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Majid Asghar Al-Nawab, Dean of the College of Nursing at the University of Basra.
For his part, Professor Dr. Ali Hussein Rashk, Assistant President of the University of Basra for Scientific Affairs, explained that all conferences that are held depend on applied research that can be benefited from socially inside or outside Iraq and are not just ink on paper and subject to any scientific update. Rashak continued that the research being discussed and reviewed can be adopted as study sources after scrutiny and proof of its scientific soundness.
For his part, Assistant Professor Dr. Majid Asghar Al-Nawab, Dean of the College of Nursing at the University of Basra, said that all participating research will discuss the difficulties facing this profession, as well as the latest scientific developments in this field and communicate them for adoption in practical reality and reaching the basic goal of developing health care. The recommendations presented after the conclusion of the conference will be taken into account. Which lasts for two days.
From Syria, in a speech by Dr. Nisreen Mohi Mustafa, assistant professor of obstetrics and gynecology nursing and family planning at Tishreen University, she explained that she is the only participant from her country and the title of her research is evaluating nurses’ practices and information about postpartum nutrition.
From Bahrain, the participant, Dr. Amin Abdullah, first spoke about the warm reception he received in Basra, while explaining that their participation focused on managing emergencies and critical cases, and how and what are the basic procedures that must be followed by nurses
