The College of Nursing at the University of Basra concluded the work of its third international scientific conference for nursing and medical sciences today, Monday, April 29, 2024. The international conference recommended several important points, including approaching the Ministry of Health to support nursing staff and developing training and development programs, and recommending to the Ministry of Health to determine the location and benefits of the university nurse according to the description. Job assignments for health institutions according to specialty and certificate, supporting the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Basra Governorate Council with a program to develop teaching staff for nursing colleges with courses outside Iraq, each according to their specialization, recommending the establishment of a research center specialized in nursing research and studies, developing programs to address the environmental pollution that Basra Governorate suffers from, employing Technology and software in the health sector, scientific research and education, interest in the outcomes of the nursing education program and the need to link them to the labor market, continuing scientific communication between the field of nursing and medical sciences between Iraq and its surrounding region, the trend towards specialization in the nursing profession and in multiple medical fields with the aim of reaching goals and objectives that advance the profession. Nursing After adding the legal foundations for nursing, creating a national system to monitor education and the extent of the competence of graduates, amending the program to create indicators for health care, and working to create a practice exam before practicing in health institutions.
