Palm Research Center at Basra University Holds Seminar on Heat Stress and Mitigation Strategies
The Palm Research Center at Basra University organized a seminar on heat stress and its detrimental effects on the growth and yield of date palms. The seminar, led by Dr. Imad Hamid Abdul Samad, delved into the causes of heat stress and its harmful impacts on plants in general and date palms specifically. Additionally, the seminar discussed the temperature ranges that are considered stressful for plants and explored methods to mitigate and reduce the adverse effects of heat stress.
