Under the direct supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Majid Asghar Al-Nawab, Dean of the College of Nursing at the University of Basra, the work of the Third International Conference on Nursing and Medical Sciences was conducted, where the committees continued to discuss scientific research and in the halls of the College of Nursing.
The Chairman of the Preparatory Committee for the Conference, Professor Dr. Abdul Amir Abdullah Al-Moussawi, Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, said that the College of Nursing has striven, since its establishment, to catch up with the global trend through accelerated steps, the most important of which is scientific research and its publication in solid journals and websites, and that conference, in which approximately 106 research papers participated, focused on Nursing, medical and other basic supporting sciences from Iraqi and international universities.
He added that the conference's themes are 6: nursing sciences, public health, basic medical sciences, supportive health technologies, nursing education and management, and solid nursing research.
For his part, Assistant Professor Dr. Majid Asghar Al-Nawab, Dean of the College of Nursing, said: The conference provided a platform for emerging researchers and practitioners to present their work and contribute to the advancement of the medical and nursing fields, as the poster sessions and oral presentations presented the latest research results and innovations, which stimulated discussions about future trends.
The event also served as a networking hub, enabling researchers to make new connections, share resources, and build partnerships that will strengthen the nursing community, the representatives added.
This conference is considered a very important occasion, as it represents an important step forward in healthcare education and practice in the region
