In cooperation with the Bahraini Society and on the sidelines of the Third International Scientific Conference for Nursing and Medical Sciences, which was hosted by the University of Basra, College of Nursing. The workshop included the use of electric shock and saving lives, and included training nursing students on how to resuscitate the heart and lungs in the event of cardiac arrest for any person outside or inside the hospital, and how to use the automatic defibrillator, so that the student gains experience and the appropriate method in interacting with cases of cardiopulmonary arrest. This workshop also discussed the most important nursing procedures that the nurse performs when performing advanced cardiac resuscitation to enhance the theoretical and clinical level of nursing and midwifery students.
The workshop came up with a number of recommendations, the most important of which are training and qualifying students to carry out the resuscitation process, educating the community through schools, institutes and universities, and providing automatic external electrical devices for cardiac resuscitation in places where people gather, such as banks, schools, large companies, and police stations.
