On the sidelines of the College of Engineering’s participation in the Oil Waste Conference held at Koya University in Erbil in cooperation with the University of Basra, Professor Dr. Ammar Abdel Shahid Abdel Hamid, Head of the Department of Electrical Engineering, participated in chairing three sessions of the conference, which were entitled Exploring Waste Management in the Oil and Gas Industry: Current Status and Forward-Looking Strategies. The second is entitled Wastes from Drilling Activities. The third is entitled Wastes from Gas Production and Processing Activities. The session included the presentation of a group of research related to the management of oil waste and its treatments, and Professor Dr. Ammar Abdel Shahid was given a message evaluating the successful management of these sessions.
