To discuss the standards for programmatic accreditation, in the presence of Dr. Sahar Shafiq from the National University in Dhi Qar Governorate, and with the participation of the chairmen and members of the subcommittees. The standards for programmatic accreditation were discussed and the final report on accreditation was written. The representatives also stressed the necessity of academic accreditation and its importance in achieving high scientific sobriety. It is worth noting the reliability of the academic program It represents several axes, including the college’s mission, curriculum, student evaluation, evaluation and follow-up of the program, students, faculty, educational resources, and administrations of colleges of nursing and scientific research, as well as continuing professional development, developing educational curricula and keeping them up to date with modernity and the needs of the labor market. The goal of accreditation is the general improvement of the quality of nursing education. And evaluating the quality of education in Iraqi nursing colleges to ensure good outcomes and that obtaining national accreditation is considered the gateway to obtaining international and academic accreditation.
