The University of Basrah organized a seminar on the petrophysical, mineralogical and geochemical study of the middle shale member of the Zubair formation in the Rumaila field.The aim of the seminar was to clarify how to conduct a reservoir assessment of the middle shale member ( MSM ) in the Zubair formation in the Rumaila oil field . The study conducted by the researcher Hussein Ali Hussein included the study of the petrophysical properties(permeability, porosity, shale size, water saturation, etc.) of the reservoir using sensors for selected oil wells in the study area in addition to the geochemical and mineralogical study of selected rock samples.
