Faculty members from Al-Zahraa College of Medicine at the University of Basra organized a training course titled "Hemorrhagic Diseases: Diagnosis and Follow-up Methods for Laboratory, Health, and Technical Staff" in the conference hall of the Hereditary Blood Diseases Center for Children. The course aimed to train laboratory, health, and technical staff on the latest methods in diagnosing and monitoring hemorrhagic diseases to improve their skills and enhance their proficiency in handling these cases.
The course, conducted by Dr. Sadiq Khalaf and Dr. Ihsan Mardan, specialists in laboratory hematology from Al-Zahraa College of Medicine, included a series of theoretical lectures and practical applications. The lectures focused on explaining the potential causes of hemorrhagic diseases, how to diagnose them using modern laboratory techniques, and the latest protocols for monitoring patients to ensure better treatment outcomes and minimize complications.
The course also included discussion sessions and practical training to enable participants to apply what they learned, as well as presenting multiple case studies and reviewing the latest scientific research in the field.
The course recommended the need to strengthen cooperation between medical centers and universities to exchange expertise and information and to develop continuous training programs for health personnel to stay updated with the latest advancements in diagnosing and treating hemorrhagic diseases. It also emphasized the importance of ongoing scientific research to support and improve the medical care provided to patients.
This course is part of the ongoing efforts of Al-Zahraa College of Medicine and the Hereditary Blood Diseases Center for Children to improve the quality of healthcare and develop medical staff in Iraq.
