The College of Education for Pure Sciences in the Department of Chemistry discussed a master’s thesis on preparing some organic 1,2,3-triazole derivatives and studying their inhibitory effectiveness against corrosion of carbon steel.
The thesis presented by the researcher (Hadi Abdel Samad Jaber) included a study of the preparation of new 1,2,3-triazole compounds from the reaction of a series of aides with dibeta ketone. The resulting compounds were characterized using IR, 1HNMR, and 13CNMR techniques, and the prepared compounds were used as corrosion inhibitors.
