Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kazem, President of the University of Basra, and under the direct supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Majid Asghar Muhammad Al-Nawab, Dean of the College of Nursing at the University of Basra
The College of Nursing, in coordination with faculty members and students, organized the annual Eid al-Ghadeer festival in the Great Hall of Nursing Sciences on Thursday, 6/27/2024. The ceremony was attended by the Assistant Dean for Administrative and Scientific Affairs and a group of faculty members, employees, and students of the college.
The ceremony also included a speech by the Dean of the College of Nursing, Assistant Professor Dr. Majid Asghar Muhammad Al-Nawab, referring to the human, intellectual and Islamic qualities that characterized the personality of Imam Ali, peace be upon him, the introductions that preceded the Ghadir incident, and the role of this personality in strengthening the foundations of Islam and confronting the challenges that oppose the Islamic call at different stages.
At the end of his speech, the representatives congratulated all the members, students, their honorable families, the Islamic nation, and the entire world on this occasion, pointing out that Imam Ali Ibn Abi Talib, peace be upon him, is not limited to a specific group or sect, and is not limited to Muslims only, but rather is for all of humanity, calling for the example of the most honorable Messenger and his pure family. Peace be upon them and the righteous predecessors, because they are the only way for the nation to survive.
The ceremony, which witnessed the exchange of congratulations and blessings between the members, included the recital of poems and songs that sang of the love of the Commander of the Faithful, peace be upon him.
