The Dean of the College of Education for Pure Sciences at the University of Basrah, Professor Dr. Majid Muhammad Jassim, participated in the ceremony of raising the flag of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), which took place at the University of Basrah in cooperation with the General Secretariat of the Holy Shrine of Hussein and in the presence of the President of the University of Basrah, Professor Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kazem, and a number of deans of colleges and a group of University professors and employees, in addition to a special delegation from the Hussein Shrine. The Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Majid Muhammad Jassim, said that the flag carries great symbolic connotations in the hearts of lovers of the honorable Ahl al-Bayt, as it embodies the history of sacrifice and martyrdom for the sake of supporting Islam and Muslims.
