The Dean of the College of Education for Humanities at the University of Basra, Prof. Dr. Nidaa Mohammed Baqer, met with the head and members of the Scientific Committee in the Department of History to discuss the preparation of postgraduate students, discussions, supervision and ministerial instructions issued in light of that.
The Dean of the College indicated the necessity of implementing the ministerial instructions in distributing supervision, which emphasize the importance of combining the student's desire and fair distribution among professors and precise specialization in a way that serves the process of developing scientific research in the college, and that the fixed foundations and ministerial instructions be adopted and the correct mechanisms be applied in a way that ensures justice and scientificity in supervising postgraduate students.
The foundations that were relied upon in the process of distributing supervision and the specified period were discussed in a way that serves justice and the student's desire and the scientific absorption capacity of the university professor from supervision and the necessity of referring to the College Council in the event of a difference of viewpoints, and the problems and obstacles that the researcher faces during scientific research and ways to reduce them were discussed
