The University of Basra organized the Faculty of Fine Arts in cooperation with the hash authority.An exhibition of the results of the art therapy course entitled The Story of kindness for the wounded of the Popular Mobilization at the Jafar Al-Tayyar rehab complex, in the presence of the representative of the president of the University of Basra, Prof. Dr. Ali Hussein Rashk, assistant to the president of the University for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Abdul Zahra Mohammed dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Dr. Raed Hassan Shree, head of the Department of plastic arts, and a large official and academic delegation.
The exhibition aims to improve the psychological and physical condition of the wounded crowd and enhance the sense of self through the realization of beautiful paintings.
The exhibition included a distinguished collection of creative paintings that reflect the skills and creations of the wounded participants, supervised by a group of professors from the Faculty of Fine Arts, departments of plastic arts and art education, who contributed to the success of the training course and highlighting the creativity of the participants in a special exhibition that included their distinguished paintings.
The assistant rector and dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts expressed their deep gratitude to the honored professors, stressing the importance of art as a therapeutic means contributing to the rehabilitation of the wounded and enabling them to express their feelings and overcome the psychological difficulties they face and that such initiatives enhance self-confidence and social integration.
