The President of the University of Basra, Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kazem, directed active participation in serving the visitors of the Arbaeen Day of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) during his meeting with officials of the university’s service procession.
The university president stressed the mobilization of the university’s service and human capabilities to provide logistical and technical services and set up a procession at the (Shalamcheh) crossing and at the gate of the (Karma Ali) college complex to provide services to the crowds of visitors heading to Holy Karbala to commemorate the fortieth anniversary of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) and to provide everything the visitor needs. During its journey due to the difficult weather conditions in light of the high temperatures and the difficult road, as well as strengthening the mechanisms for transporting visitors to reflect an image of solidarity and integration between the university and society required by the Ashura message and its immortal humanitarian goals.The university president continued that the University of Basra, in cooperation with the Basra Health Department, set up a medical detachment at the Shalamcheh border crossing to provide medical services to incoming visitors.
