The College of Law at the University of Basra organized a seminar that highlighted the new Retirement Law No. 18 of 2023, which repealed the Retirement and Social Security Law No. 39 of 1971.
The study, presented by Assistant Lecturer Areej Mueyed, included the most important updates of the new law, which involved reducing the percentage of workers' physical disability from 35% to 30% for retirement purposes.
