
Dentistry College at Basrah University organized a meeting with clinical branch assistants on the mechanism work in its educational clinics to apply the practical aspect for students.
The meeting, which was chaired by Assistant Professor Sundus Abdul-Wadud Al-Jazaery, Director of Educational Clinics, included commitment to clinic appointments, following up on students in terms of commitment to the clinic appointment, commitment to the uniform and arranging records to document work in each clinic according to the instructions of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
Al-Jazaery said that the aim of the meeting is to prepare for a workshop in which assistants participate on the guidelines followed for work in each clinic and the importance of sterilization and general hygiene, which constitute the basic entrance to providing a sound and correct therapeutic health service. It has even become an obligation for everyone working in the medical profession to follow and learn the correct main steps to prevent infectious diseases, including sterilization requirements and conditions.
Every year, the professors and doctors of Dentistry College are accustomed to training students in the educational clinics on the most important methods of prevention before and after examining each patient, starting with proper hand washing, wearing protective equipment, sterilizing surgical instruments, and safely disposing of medical waste. These are among the most important preventive measures followed in the educational clinics of dentistry.
