The Faculty of Education for Humanities at the University of Basra organized a memorial vigil on the occasion of the martyrdom of Hussein Nasrallah, who was killed by the Zionist treachery, and in support of the Lebanese and Palestinian peoples.
In the presence of the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Nidaa Muhammad Baqer, the Dean's assistants for scientific and administrative affairs, teachers, staff and students of the college, Surat Al-Fatiha was read for the souls of the martyrs and the Iraqi, Lebanese and Palestinian national anthems were played.
The Dean of the College condemned the Zionist practices against the Lebanese and Palestinian people, which represent genocidal crimes that require everyone to stand against them, which led to the martyrdom of the resistance leader Mr. Hassan Nasrallah and thousands of innocent civilians.
Dr. Nidaa added, "We stand today to pay tribute to a special type of man who was characterized by courage, wisdom and principled positions, who stood tall and patient against the enemies to obtain martyrdom to be a badge of honor for all mujahideen and underdogs, and that this blood will not be in vain, but will be a beacon for all oppressed peoples.
During the vigil, speeches were made praising the martyr and the resistance, chanting slogans denouncing the Zionists, declaring support for the Lebanese and Palestinian peoples, and opening a fund for donations in support of the directives of the Marja'iyya to support the Lebanese people.
