
On this morning, Basrah University commemorated the first anniversary of the outbreak of Al-Aqsa Flood Intifada, which was launched by the Palestinian resistance factions in early October 2023, within a religious forum that also included a solidarity stand against the ongoing Israeli aggression against the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples, and in the presence of a large gathering of deans, professors, employees, college students, elementary school students, and representatives of the Directorate of the Popular Mobilization Authority and civil society organizations and institutions. In a special statement, the Assistant of the University President for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ali Hussein Rashk, said, "Today we stand in remembrance of the blood of the martyrs of Al-Aqsa Flood Intifada and in support of the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples by reciting the supplication (Ahl al-Thughur) narrated by Imam Zain al-Abidin (peace be upon him) which calls for supporting the oppressed and praying for the destruction of the oppressors. Today we stand to raise our voices to convey to the entire world that we are all Hassan Nasrallah... we are all Abu Mahdi the Engineer... we are all Qassem Soleimani... and victory and glory for all Muslims."
