In line with the instructions of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and in implementation of the directives of the President of the University of Basra, Prof. Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi regarding the development of future strategic plans that are in line with the current situation, a meeting was held at the College of Engineering at Basra University headed by Prof. Dr. Kazem Abdul-Wahab Hassan, Director of the Quality Assurance Department, Dr. Saeed Jassim Al-Asadi, Dr. Abdul-Reda Al-Badrawi and in the presence of a number of colleges deans, administrative assistants, quality officials and center directors. The meeting included presenting the university’s vision, mission and goals, how to improve and develop the university, in addition to defining the strategic plan and the main elements of the quality management process, clarifying all the axes mentioned in the plan, discussing them and enriching them with some observations to be a guide and a work plan to be implemented according to timetables within the next five years.
