The Faculty of Science/ Department of geoscience at the University of Basrah organized a seminar that included the study of the behavior and geochemical and mineralogical factors controlling the distribution of heavy elements and hydrocarbons in the sediments and water of pumping stations and houses . The seminar, delivered by researcher Zeinab Rasoul, included conducting a comprehensive geochemical study of sediments and water using modern devices and techniques to determine the concentrations of compounds and elements with high accuracy in order to determine their sources and levels of danger.
