The Environmental Threats Study Team from the Marine Science Center participated in the third workshop on (Inventory and Analysis of Threats and Preparation of the First Threats Report) held in Basra Governorate, in the hall of the Basra Environment Directorate. The workshop discussed the results of field surveys of the natural components of the marshlands property listed as a World Heritage Site. It aimed to lay the foundations for the environmental monitoring program, in addition to discussing and preparing the first report for inventorying and analyzing the threats facing this environmental legacy. The workshop was held in cooperation with the Arab Regional Center for World Heritage, and was attended by a group of specialists and experts in the field of environment and heritage.
