
The lecturer from Dentistry College, Asst. Prof. Dr. Raghad Mohammed Jassim, participated in the membership of the committee to discuss a doctoral thesis at Basrah University/ Science College, which discusses the relationship between immune markers of neutrophil activation NETosis and recurrent pregnancy loss in women from Basra Governorate, by the researcher Sally Shaker Obaid.
The thesis aims to evaluate the role of NETosis components protease 57, calprotectin, MPO, histones H2A, H2B, H3 in RPL and the role of PADI4, IL-8, CD11b in neutrophil activation NETosis.
The thesis concluded that the immune system plays a role in the pathophysiology of recurrent pregnancy loss and that age and miscarriage factors affect the frequency of miscarriage.
